MOLECULAR MICROBIOLOGY

Molecular microbiology is concerned with the molecular structures and physiological processes of microorganisms, as well as their application in the development of biotech and pharmaceutical products such as vaccines and antibodies. The analysis of protein structure and their function is one of the most popular techniques used in molecular microbiology. Electrophoresis, Polymerase chain reaction, Microarrays, Gel Macromolecule blotting and probing, and allele-specific oligonucleotide are some of the most commonly used techniques in molecular microbiology.
